Accessibility

Aylesbury Radio is designed to be usable with screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom, magnification software and high-contrast settings.

Our accessibility approach

We aim to make this website conform as closely as practical to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing part of the site rather than an optional extra.

For blind and screen-reader users

For low-vision users

Keyboard and motion

All site controls can be reached using the keyboard. The previous automatically moving home-page artwork has been replaced with a static design, and the site respects the operating system’s reduced-motion preference.

Third-party services

The Listen Live button opens the Radio Studio player, while our social-media links lead to external services. We cannot control the accessibility of those third-party websites, but the Aylesbury Radio pages themselves are designed to remain accessible.

Tell us about an accessibility problem

If anything on this website is difficult to use with a screen reader, magnifier, keyboard or other assistive technology, please contact the Aylesbury Radio studio and tell us which page or feature caused the problem.
